Only saw the new playground today in Templeville, looks like it will be ready fairly shortly. Does anyone know when it'll be ready? That'll be brilliant, so handy. Long overdue too. Don't you agree?
Yeah, I saw it when I was walking down to the town last week.
When we were passing there were already some teenage boys messing around in it and it's not even built yet. Hopefully it won't be overrun with little brats smoking and drinking when it does open properly, because like you said, it's long overdue and there really is nowhere for kids to play.
Clodagh, love the avatar! So cute. Saw playground today, looks really well. Think they could build one in Ashfield too, they have a huge green area there. Certainly long overdue for some more children's facilities. The park beside the church, is that just a field?
can't believe we are getting a playground. kinda sick of getting the kids in the car to drive to one. its not doing my waistline any good for starters and the kids love the fresh air. my only question is were is templeville. very bad re areas in balbriggan... that probably due to the fact tend to drive to ardgillan castle for walks. if anyone can explain where its going to be, it would be great. thanks
Just went to the playground in templeville yesterday with aaron. There was a load of teenagers running a muck throwing bricks around, so obviously i didnt stay very long!!in relation to where its located if your walking past the garda station (leaving the village )take a left at the lights then take the second left turn and you can see it from there.
didnt seem to be a whole lot in it although i suppose its ok if your passing for killing five minutes but ardgillan is well worth sticking to mainly i think because of the fresh air to clear the head ya know! and its nice to pop in for coffee in castle for a change of scenery also it makes a great family day out even for an hour or so.
again clo well done on the site its doing brill!your such a brainiac!

That's such a pity. It's probably better to go in the morning because (hopefully) those kids will be in school then...

Girls did you see there's a new playground planned for the green beside the Children's Village creche at Chieftain's Way! Moylaragh resident's association are objecting to it though. It was in the Fingal Independent recently. I hope it goes ahead.
I think it'll be brill BUT when the kids all get older we could be hounded by "can we go to the playground?" Ah I'm sure parents everywhere get asked that, at least we won't have that far to travel and I think it's fantastic to have 2 playgrounds within walking distance of our homes.
