Hey Clodagh, Yeah count myself and Ella in. We rather the afternoons and its a nice way to end the more times than not mental week. See you both on Friday
would love to come as well, it's just that Hylke sleeps usually between 1 and 3pm, will do my best to change naptime for tomorrow because I do enjoy the chat, so hopefully see you all there! Rikkie
I'm sorry we did'nt make it.We got a cancellation with the osteopath in skerries for Rachel re:her sleeping .Thank you to the girl who told me about it.i'm brutal at remembering names,I'm sorry. Was very sceptical but when we came out Rachel slept for an hour in the pram, she's never done that before.I'm still in shock
Hi Wendy I've been attending and Osteopath for about 4 years and I always find when you have a through treatment then it can really floor you. I have brought eoin since he was 3 weeks old and the work that has been done is great for both of us.

Thats really good to hear .i'm still a bit sceptical about it but I'll give it a go and see what happens. We've tried everything else anyway so heres hoping
Went to Eb Shriever in Skerries .Am keeping my fingers crossed at the moment.Rachel has a cough and cold at the moment so I won't expect to much we're back to see him this friday
Just seen this advertised on EU Mom and decided to join in. I live in Lusk and it is nice to see so many people living local that meet up regularly. I work part time so not sure I would be able to meet up much but it is nice to get advice too.
I have a question for Wendyfl - can I ask why you decided to bring Rachel to an osteopath for her sleep. My DD is 18 months and is a nightmare for sleep. She never sleeps in her buggy.

Rachel has never slept well since she was born .She wakes roughly evey hour at night and rarely sleeps during the day.Our gp referred us to temple st. with her but all they can do is give her sleep medication which i don't want to do even though we're pretty desperate at this stage.I spoke to someone at the meet last week and they spoke about osteopath s and I decided to give it a try .She's never slept for an hour during the day so maybe it works,I'm still a bit sceptical about it thuogh. But we''ll try it a few times and see what happens.I'll let you know how we get on
Hi HAB and Wendy I've been bringing my son to an Osteopath since he was 3 weeks old and the change in him has been fantastic. I think that people can be skeptical as the results aren't instant and the work that the Osteopath does is very gentle that it can seem like nothing is being done. I have attended one for almost 4years now and I've been delighted witht the results. I had gone to the hospital with my complaint and they told me I was just unlucky but after 6 treatments it cleared right up.
I would most certainly recommend that you give it a try. I attend Tony O'Brien in Skerries (lovely Irish guy), he has a clinic in Swords too let me know if you need his number, you can even call him just to have a chat if you decide to go that route.
Oh sorry forgot to mention it was a problem with my eyes, in case it sounded like anything cloak and dagger!
Thanks Wendyfl and Dors. My DD does sleep during the day for a while but she tosses and turns alot like she is in pain so she very rarely has a comfortable . She suffers alot with downward wind. I have been to PHN and doctor and all they say is she is perfectly healthy and not to worry. She wakes lots of times at night, sometimes for comfort but sometimes I know she has pains. I kept putting it down to teeth but now I am not sure as she is not teething at the moment. I am not overly worried about her but would love her to have a full nights sleep and for us to have one too.
I know how you feel Hab.Rachel also suffers terribly with passing wind,Again we were told it was to do with the fact she had colic and would pass at 2 or 3.The ostepath said it was to do with the cord being wrapped tight around her neck when she was born and he reckons he can help with that as well
I don't know the reasons for Sophias wind and nobody seems to have any answers either. She never suffered from colic and I had a very good delivery. Only a few hours in labour and she came out no problem. I heard wind can be an alignment problem and that is why the osteopath helps. I think I might give it a go. I am going for her 18 month check up soon so I will see what the PHN says when I tell her that Sophia is still suffering. Thanks for your help!!!!
