Hi all, I run Sunbeams playschool and I see you have us listed above, thank you for that.
Just to let you know we still have a few places for September 2008 and we are also taking enrollments for September 2009. We are a small purpose built playschool with 12 children to 2 members of staff, both with training (Fetac/Ippa qualified), valid Paediatric first Aid certificates and experience. We are situated at 6 Fulham Street which is directly opposite the main entrance/ front of of St Peter and Paul's Junior National School. Our opening hours are 9.15- 12 noon, Monday to Friday. Part time places (2-3 days a week) might be available on demand. We cater for children from 2 1/2 to 5 years of age. Our aim is to educate and care for children in a safe, enjoyable and fun environment. We teach colours, numbers, shapes etc and our curriculum includes themes such as seasons, weather, animals, the five senses, all about me, health and nutrition, etc. We cover areas such as science, nature, arts and crafts, music, dance and drama while following our curriculum. As an IPPA (Irish Preschools and Playgroups Association) member we believe in the importance of play for learning in young children and aim to make learning fun for the children in our care. We also believe in the holistic or whole development of the child and aim to provide for and support physical, intellectual, language, social and emotional development in all children. Hi Just wanted to say thanks for posting this list - really helpfull - I'm heading back to work in January and I'll be looking for a place for my little one - know I've left it a bit late -time seems to be flying by!! I'm in two minds whether to arrange a place inBalbriggan or look for a creche or childminder close to work in Santry ? If anyone has any contacts or recomendations for Santry area or any recommendations within Balbriggan all info would be appreciated!! Thanks
Karen I don't know anywhere in Santry but maybe if you put up a post with some questions you might have about some of the childcare places in Balbriggan people can answer you with their experiences. My best advice is to go with your gut feelings.
Hi just to let you know if you want to keep the list updated. Kids R Us in Glebe North closed last October, also one in Chapelgate closed last September, I don't know the name but it was run by someone called Fiona so might be the one you have listed above. The one run by Gillian on Chapel Street moved but I think someone else is opening there soon
