MMR

Hi Girls,

Had Sean over with doctor yesterday to get his needles (third lot at six months) - he's not due for anymore jabs till he's 12 months and that's the MMR....

I know there was some contraversy about the MMR and its link to authisim ?? Anyone know anymore about that ??

Doctor was also saying that the MMR is now given at 12 months now instead of 15 months (as some children had contracted the messels at around the 12 month stage) ...

Hi Lee

As far as I know the studies that gave rise to the contraversy have always been disputed. Here are a couple of link that might give you a bit more info.

At DS 6 week check up, the paed mentioned it to me, and said there are now too many cases of fatal measles in babies due to the falling uptake of the MMR.

Hope this helps

Ruth
