Sleeping in this heat...

Just wondering what everybody dresses their little ones in at night during this hot spell???  Daniel has come out in what looks like either a heat rash or prickily heat and it's always worse in the morning   He's been wearing nothing but a light t-shirt to bed but I'm tempted to just leave him in his nappy.  The only problem is he always kicks his blankets off.  It's probably possible for him to get too cold in this heat but I'm still not sure weather just a nappy would be too little.

Anyway, enjoy the sun while it lasts!

it is hard to know what to dress them in at night. Isabella has been wearing just a vest and light bottoms. Despite the heat her feet and hands are coldish in the mornings and any attempt at putting a blanket on is well and truly kicked off within minutes. She is just 13 weeks so i definitely think she needs something but i suppose being a little chilly is better than overheating. The other night i put her in a babygrow afer a feed and she slept for a few hours and when we took her up for her last feed her back was dripping in sweat and we had to take the babygrow off!

This weather is great but it can play havoc with moods!!!

Take care,

Laura

I know it's such a typical Irish thing to complain about the heat after spending the rest of the year complaining about the cold and rain but I have to say, I cannot wait for this heatwave to be over

Yeah Laura, It's definitely playing havoc with Daniel's moods too.  I'm still only dressing him in a t-shirt at night but, like Isabella, the minute I put the blankets on him, he kicks them right off.  Although, Daniel's 13 months old so that really is a different story altogether.  I don't know about anybody else, but I absolutely hate bugs and moths so I can't bear to leave the windows open at night so that doesn't help.

Well, hopefully it cools down just a little bit soon!

Hi All!

I just thought id recommend tk maxx for their Gro Bags they have the original gro bag brand and others from mamas and papas etc for around E20 they are normally around E40 i the retailers so they are a bargain! I found them excellent all year round from when aaron was a bit younger but hes too big now as he can stand up and walk around his cot and would only trip over bless! its pretty hard when you cant predict the change in temp throughout the night but these keep them at the correct and safe temp which are dead handy for us worriers!

That's really good value because I bought two in Roches stores and they were €36 each.

Thanks for that

I have started covering Eoín with a sheet or the holey blankets(not sure what they are really called)

Have started getting him back into PJ's with no vest though.
