Just spoke to the manager in Northside Swimming Pool and he said that there is NO limit on age once the child has had their shots.
He said the best time to go is @ 12:30 as it is very quiet then. They close @ 2:40 for lunch so we wouldn't have to rush. They are open @ 11:30 mon-thurs.
Children MUST have waterproof nappies - they sell them for €1.50. OR you can get them in Mothercare for €10.
A swim costs €4.20 or you can buy a book of 10 tickets for €33.00
Buggies are not allowed on the poolside in case the wheels have run over anything and then they bring it inside with them. But they will hold them in the basket area if you need.
Sounds great, and 12:30 is a grand time, not too early and very reasonably priced too...
I would def be interested in taking Sean along, just have to pop into Mother Care to pick up his shorts, and also a swimming ring or something like that...
If people are interested in going swimming let me know. Was thinking that we could go August 29th @ 12:30. From September 5th the times go back to winter and the pool opening hours are greatly reduced.
If you want to come swimming can you please send me a message or post here. Think it could be a nice trip for us. I'm going Next Tuesday 29th August @ 12:30.
Finally got Sean's swimming trunks - sooo funny tiny little things - just have to pick up a swimming ring or something like that now - any ideas? Then we'll be ready for the off, really looking forward to taking him swimming...
