Meeting At Weekends???

Hi

Just wondering would it suit people to meet up at weekends?  It wouldn't have to be every weekend.  It would mean that those of you who work during the week would get a chance to meet up also.

What do you think

Hi clodagh, weekends suit me grand. As a single parent I find the weekends long as most people spend them with their husband or partners and no-one is around. So certainly up for it.

Hey guys what if we plan a day out like Ardgillan castle or something on a weekend? A lot of the people on this site work and would love to meet up but can't.

We could pick a day and time and let everyone know and hopefully it'll go well.

What do you all think?

would love to meet at weekends. i work in the morning so afternoon suits me best. though this may not be good for everyone. also the kids seem to be in better form after a nap. they love the playground and getting out. lauren wakes everyday shouting slides! my husband nearly always works sundays. when we were growing up at home it was a big family day, a day you had to be home for dinner and it didn't matter who you had with you.. kinda the more the merrier. i don't really make a special effort anymore for dinner on sunday as just me and kids. would love to know are their any other moms in similar situations who would like to meet up for something to eat. even something simple like finger food. the only thing is recently stopped meeting moms at cafes or hotel etc as lauren waking and elliot on the move too so they are not happy stuck in high chair for long periods. find having people at our house or going to other peoples can so much better. anyone with any thoughts on the matter or any ideas?

Hi Sarah,

It is the same for us, Hylke loses interest after about twenty minutes in a high chair so I also quit going.....if you're interested, in the topic "toddlers" we were trying to get people to let us know about participating in meeting for playdates at eachothers' homes. Let me know what you think....

I don't mind going for the morning coffee as Eoín usually falls asleep but like the others Eoín wants to be more actively mobile. He loves the playground too and I do think meeting up in each others houses is a good idea for us Mammies with toddlers.

Yeah, we definitely should organise something.  Unfortunately I won't be around next Sunday but it would be great to get this idea up and running.

Hi Rikkie, haven't heard much from people about meeting at weekends. I'm really interested and would love to meet up some times.
With being sick right now we can't, but when we are better I'd love to meet up with you.

Hi,

I've just came across this site, I would love to meet up sometime at weekends, I don't know that many people in Balbriggan so it would be great to meet other mothers. If anything is arranged then I'll be there if I can

Hi louise, welcome to the site, good to have you.

Meeting at the weekend never really took off unfortunately.

I might try to set up something again soon if we get enough interest. Why not post in the Welcome section with a little about yourself?

Hope to meet you soon.
