Just wondering would it suit people to meet up at weekends? It wouldn't have to be every weekend. It would mean that those of you who work during the week would get a chance to meet up also.
Hi clodagh, weekends suit me grand. As a single parent I find the weekends long as most people spend them with their husband or partners and no-one is around. So certainly up for it.
Hubbie works Saturdays so I'm always up for something then, actually Sunday would too.Dh likes his sport and usually suggest I take a liesurely stroll on a Sunday lol
Hey guys what if we plan a day out like Ardgillan castle or something on a weekend? A lot of the people on this site work and would love to meet up but can't.
We could pick a day and time and let everyone know and hopefully it'll go well.
would love to meet at weekends. i work in the morning so afternoon suits me best. though this may not be good for everyone. also the kids seem to be in better form after a nap. they love the playground and getting out. lauren wakes everyday shouting slides! my husband nearly always works sundays. when we were growing up at home it was a big family day, a day you had to be home for dinner and it didn't matter who you had with you.. kinda the more the merrier. i don't really make a special effort anymore for dinner on sunday as just me and kids. would love to know are their any other moms in similar situations who would like to meet up for something to eat. even something simple like finger food. the only thing is recently stopped meeting moms at cafes or hotel etc as lauren waking and elliot on the move too so they are not happy stuck in high chair for long periods. find having people at our house or going to other peoples can so much better. anyone with any thoughts on the matter or any ideas?
It is the same for us, Hylke loses interest after about twenty minutes in a high chair so I also quit going.....if you're interested, in the topic "toddlers" we were trying to get people to let us know about participating in meeting for playdates at eachothers' homes. Let me know what you think....
I don't mind going for the morning coffee as Eoín usually falls asleep but like the others Eoín wants to be more actively mobile. He loves the playground too and I do think meeting up in each others houses is a good idea for us Mammies with toddlers.
Nexrt sunday is no good for me either I'm afraid.....have family visiting from overseas and my birthday is on the weekend..... for the next weekend outing I would definitley be interested so keep us posted....
What's happening with the meeting up at weekends thing??? I hope we can organise something, was kind of hoping for this weekend????!!!!! Anyway, anybody interested in meeting up even for a walk, the weather is so lovely.........just let me know....
Hi Rikkie, haven't heard much from people about meeting at weekends. I'm really interested and would love to meet up some times. With being sick right now we can't, but when we are better I'd love to meet up with you.
the better halves computer card, that 3 g thing...i don't understand exactly what it is, broke so haven't been on sight for couple of weeks. definately want to meet up weekends. anytime suits. its so cold now but would be nice to try and get out. my kids hate being stuck in. if not don't mind having people around here. i don't have most peoples phone no's anymore as elliot broke two of my phones in the space of three weeks. cost me a fortune!!!! so if u would like to meet up soon i'll look out for posts here and i'll try to get back asap.
I've just came across this site, I would love to meet up sometime at weekends, I don't know that many people in Balbriggan so it would be great to meet other mothers. If anything is arranged then I'll be there if I can
